In the event that further professional medical attention is required, our location is conveniently situated just 2 km from the Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, ensuring quick and efficient transit when necessary.

Professor Wheeler joined Birkbeck as Vice-Chancellor on 1 January 2024.
She is responsible for Birkbeck’s overall leadership and is the university’s chief academic and administrative officer.
As Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wheeler has responsibility to Birkbeck’s Governors for the university’s finances and for promoting and maintaining its efficiency, effectiveness, and development.
Professor Wheeler has extensive experience in Higher Education encompassing leadership of both education and research at the highest levels in the UK and abroad.
She was awarded an OBE for Services to Higher Education in Northern Ireland in 2017.
Prior to taking up her role at Birkbeck, she was Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Corporate) at the Australian National University.
She read Law at Oxford and received a Doctorate of Philosophy at Pembroke College and the Oxford Centre for Socio-Legal Studies.
Appointed as a Professor of Law in 1994, she is an international expert on corporate governance and contract law.
She has written extensively on corporate governance, including as the sole or co-author of six books, the most recent of which, ‘Scenes From Corporate Life’ is scheduled for publication in 2024.
She was elected to Membership of the Royal Irish Academy in 2013, as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2014 and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law in 2018.

Provost
Professor Lawrence Pratchett is Provost of Birkbeck, University of London - Bengaluru, bringing more than 30 years of higher education experience across Australia, the United Kingdom and India, including 15 years in executive leadership. Before this role, Professor Pratchett served as CEO of UniReady Global.
Formerly Pro Vice-Chancellor and Faculty Dean at the University of Canberra, he has built a strong reputation for strategic leadership, pioneering transnational education ventures in Singapore and Bhutan, and advancing international student recruitment and engagement across multiple markets.
Professor Pratchett’s expertise extends to public policy and democratic governance. He has provided consultancy to the UK government and contributed to the Council of Europe’s Green Paper on the Future of Democracy in Europe. He holds a PhD in The Politics of New Technologies in Local Government from De Montfort University and a first-class BA (Hons) in Public Administration from Teesside Polytechnic.
As Provost, Professor Pratchett provides strategic and academic leadership as Birkbeck establishes its position within India’s growing international higher education landscape. His priorities include research-informed education, student success, industry engagement and high-impact international partnerships. Drawing on his extensive international experience, he is helping to combine Birkbeck’s rigorous academic standards and intellectual ambition with a deep understanding of international education markets and the opportunities offered by Bengaluru’s dynamic technology and business ecosystem.

Dr. Lawrence Pratchett

Dr Lawrence Pratchett is CEO of the Australian School of Global Studies (ASGS), and Professor of Politics at the University of Canberra, Australia.
An internationally renowned scholar with over 5000 citations, he has published extensively on issues of local democracy and politics, electronic democracy and the development of knowledge cities. He has also been an academic adviser to governments in both the UK and Australia, as well as an expert adviser to the Council of Europe; he was a contributing scholar on the Council of Europes Green Paper on the Future of Democracy in Europe (2004).
As an academic leader he has been Dean of the Faculty of Business, Government & Law and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students, Partnerships and International) at the University of Canberra, helping it to its ranking in the Top 200 universities in the world (THE 2021). Previously, he was Head of the Department of Public Policy at De Montfort University, UK, and co-founder of its globally recognised Local Governance Research Unit.

Prof. Manoj has held key leadership roles with global education institutions including Victoria University, Australia, and London Metropolitan University, UK, where he contributed significantly as Director – Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) and in strategic sales functions.
An MBA in Human Resource & Organisational Behaviour and a PGDPMLW holder, he has been associated with prestigious bodies such as CII, AIMA, ASSOCHAM, NHRD, PHDCCI, CMAI, and FISME. He currently serves as Chairman – Education Committee (Delhi/NCR), Imperial Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), and has been recognised nationally for his contributions to education, skill development, and industry-academia integration.

Mr. Tripathi also serves on industry and academic advisory boards, is a visiting faculty at premier management institutes, and actively contributes to skill development through his non-profit initiative, DiSha Skills.
